I feel like every blog that I start writing during the month of December should start out with ‘It’s the Season for Sharing, the Season For Caring.” But, honestly, it is the greatest time of the year, especially for us here at Val Vista Lakes. We don’t mean to brag, well maybe we do, but we truly have the best Christmas lights in all of Gilbert, the East Valley, maybe even in all of Arizona!
Our Holiday Mountain, that giant array of lights that you can see from across town, consists of over 500,000 lights! Seriously, imagine how long it takes to get all of those amazing lights up? It’s why we start early every year and put everyone on the job. Seventeen years of experience with Gilbert holiday lights makes us pros!
Beside the wonderful waterfall that flows beneath the amazing Christmas lights, we also have Santa! On Friday Saturday nights, up until his big night of course, we have Santa, hot chocolate and cookies!
To top off all the greatness associated with our Gilbert spectacular light display, we also are collecting canned food on Holiday Mountain that we’ll be donating to the Paz de Cristo Food Bank. So when you come out to visit Santa and walk around our Mountain of lights, don’t forget to bring some of those canned items to donate. We’re also a collection site for the Blue Line of Love Toy Drive, sponsored by the Gilbert PD. So if you don’t have any cans to bring, how about a toy for a special kid?
And, as if all of that wasn’t great enough for the holiday season, there are many families here in the Gilbert area and around the valley that are in need of some help this year, so Val Vista Lakes is adopting a few families in need from VVL Elementary School! Everyone is encouraged and welcomed to donate clothing, toys and food to help out our families. If this is something that you might be interested in, contact the Val Vista Lakes Community Manager Richard Andrews.
This year, when you’re out with the kids enjoying Gilbert’s Christmas lights, come by Val Vista Lakes, take a walk through our Holiday Mountain, meet Santa, and don’t forget your donations! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us today!
